"The Paradox of McDonald v. City of Chicago,"听an article by Associate Professor听David S. Cohen has been published in听Arguendo, an online supplement to听The George Washington Law Review.
The article explores the听hidden complexities of a 2010 Supreme Court ruling that resulted from a 5-4 decision.听听The decision held that听Second Amendment protections听of individuals' rights to own handguns applies to听state and local governments as well as federal听government.听听Cohen's article explores the ways in which this听apparently simple holding masks a more complicated "voting paradox."听听听
